Dressing your windows is a latest trend these days. So when it comes to the point of dressing your windows you have a large range of selection of designs and styles, so choosing from such a large selection may be a bit difficult. For example it may be a bit difficult for you to choose curtains or blinds for your room. So here are some of the tips which will help you to overcome these problems.
Some of the window treatments cannot be used due to berating troubles and allergies. For example it is advisable for a person who is suffering from severe asthma or dust allergy should not use blinds in his/her room as because it attracts lots of dust which might give that person breathing trouble. Blinds need regular cleaning which is time consuming. Whereas in case of curtains this problem doesn’t exist. Curtains don’t attract dust and thus it seems healthier for peoples who are suffering from breathing trouble.
The second factor that comes for selection of blinds and curtains is the room where you want to install the blind or curtain. Blinds are very effective in blocking the sunlight from entering into the room. So if the window of the bedroom is covered with blinds you may get a sound sleep no matter what time it is. On the other hand if it is a kitchen then you may need to get the sunlight inside the room so curtains would be a better option in this case.
The next consideration for choosing between curtains and blinds would be the decoration of the room. If the room is quite old with tall ceilings and old furniture then it is recommended to install curtains in the window. Where as in a new bungalow with short ceilings and modern furniture blinds would be the best option, both in case of decoration as well as passing of light and air.
Determining the factor between blinds and curtains comes next. Some people want a very minimal dressing for their windows but want it to be functional. For such cases blinds are the best option. On the other hand some people want their window to look colorful, for those, colorful curtains are the solution.
